Anthony Road Wine Company will release the 2014 Art Series Riesling on January 5th, 2019. The Riesling will be available that day for purchase in the tasting room.
“It was one of my favorite Rieslings on my trip,” said Mark Squires. “It is a big mouthful, exuberant, filled with underlying flavor, gloriously fresh and nicely textured.” Squires is an international wine critic with Robert Parker Wine Advocate. He praised the 2014 Art Series and awarded it 94 points.
Dr. Jaime Goode, author of award winning ‘Wine Science: The Application of Science in Winemaking’ awarded the Riesling 92 points describing it as a “very bright lively finish with nice mineral acidity.”
The spontaneous fermentation process lends character and complexity to this dry Riesling. Complimentary tastings will be available during business hours Saturday, January 5th. The 2014 Art Series will also be a featured wine at Anthony Road’s first Sunday Supper on Sunday, January 6th, 2019.
Sunday Suppers will be held on the first Sunday of each month. Intimate, family style meals will be prepared by some of the region’s best chefs and paired with Anthony Road wines.
The kick-off dinner will showcase the culinary expertise of Chef Samantha Buyskes. She has been focusing on locally sourced, sustainable, traceable, and seasonal cuisine in the Finger Lakes for over 15 years. “Sundays are for gathering. I love the idea of bringing people together over curated seasonal dishes and expertly crafted wines where stories, laughter and even tears have a place,” Buyskes said after the public announcement.
