W-FL MID-WEEK ROUND-UP: Mynderse, Geneva & Naples boys win openers

The first full week of action in Wayne-Finger Lakes basketball saw the Mynderse Blue Devil boys jump start their season with a 50-20 win on the road at Clyde-Savannah on Tuesday night. You can watch the full webcast replay from Clyde that streamed live on FingerLakes1.com here:

Also on Tuesday, the Geneva Panthers picked up a 5 point win as they opened up their new gymnasium with a victory. Geneva never trailed in the game and took 15-10 lead after first quarter. Up 2 at half, extended it to 9 in the third before Vertus fought back. A big 3-point shot by Kaya Parara gave Geneva a 6 point lead with just over 2 minutes left before holding on down the stretch.

Then on Wednesday night, it was the Big Green on Naples posting an impressive 65-56 win on a the road at Wayland-Cohocton.

On the girls side, Dan Harris’ Pal-Mac Lady Red Raiders are off an running with two impressive wins to start their campaign.
