Thousands were without power as of 7:30 a.m. across Central New York and parts of the Finger Lakes – as winds, and wet snow put power crews to work.
The outages were reported by National Grid, New York State Electric and Gas and Rochester Gas & Electric. Customers in Cayuga, Onondaga Wayne, and Oswego counties were hit hardest.
However, the nearly 1,000 outages that were initially reported by RG&E in Wayne County were resolved by 8 a.m.
Here are the outages by county, according to the utility companies (as of 7:55 a.m.):
- Oswego County: 3,494
- Cayuga County: 1,044
- Onondaga County: 1,021
- Oneida County: 78
- Madison County: 59
- Cortland County: 12
