The holiday season is here and shoppers are taking to area malls and shopping centers like always — and Yelp — has provided a regional ranking of the most-positively reviewed destinations for shopping.
However, not all of them on the list are malls, exactly. Some of them are shopping centers and plazas that offer a slightly different experience.
Here’s how some regional destinations faired on the list:
18th: Marketplace Mall, Henrietta
16th: Ithaca Commons, Ithaca
12th: Pittsford Plaza, Pittsford
11th: Great Northern Mall, Clay
7th: Waterloo Premium Outlets, Waterloo
4th: Destiny USA, Syracuse
1st: Eastview Mall, Victor
Of course, Eastview Mall and Waterloo Premium Outlets are two traditional shopping centers that local folks all about. But, the list included some that might have been a surprise. The inclusion of Marketplace Mall, which is going through a transformation of the sorts — as well as the position of Waterloo Premium Outlets — earning such a high ranking — surprised some commenters on the original list.
