A Geneva kindergarten teacher is accused of stealing tens-of-thousands of dollars from a scholarship fund, which was created for her sister, who died in 2015.
Kimberly Lynn Currie, 44, who is shown on the Geneva Central School district’s website as a kindergarten teacher is accused of stealing $27,000 from a scholarship fund in memory of her sister.
Currie was charged with grand larceny and will answer the charge in Canandaigua Town Court.
Deputies say the theft occurred over several years – beginning in December 2015 and until October 2018. The fund, which was allegedly stolen from was for Michele Cuminale, who was a teacher’s aide at a Canandaigua elementary school.
