Police say a 25-year-old Geneva resident, as well as a 22-year-old Canandaigua resident were both arrested after an investigation into a disturbance on Gorham Street, which resulted in a young child being pepper sprayed.
Carolyn Godbolt, 22, is accused of entering her neighbor’s apartment – initiating a physical fight with the occupant. After the fight Taneia Godbolt, 25, of Geneva is said to have sprayed the female victim with pepper spray.
Officers say that in the process a 2-year-old was also sprayed with pepper spray.
Carolyn was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment. While Taneia was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of a noxious material.
Both were brought to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
The victim and her daughter were treated at the scene for pepper spray exposure, according to police.
