A Sterling man is facing multiple criminal charges for allegedly having sexual contact with a minor, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.
Thaddeus Fields, 46, of Fancher Road, was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, second-degree patronizing a person for prostitution, third-degree patronizing a person for prostitution, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a press release. The investigation into Fields began several weeks ago when sheriff’s detectives received a tip that he was soliciting minors to pay them to model inappropriate clothing, police said.
Fields is accused of giving a form of payment to and having sexual contact with a female younger than 15 in Syracuse, police said. He was arraigned Wednesday in the City of Syracuse Court and was remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. He is due back in court Monday.
