Deputies say that on Wednesday at approximately 9:56 p.m. officers arrested Frederick C. Gantz, 28, for driving while intoxicated.
The arrest took place after deputies received a report of a sick or intoxicated driver in the area of State Route 5&20 and Hopkins Road in Canandaigua.
The vehicle was identified as a Chevrolet pickup, and found turning into Toomey’s Corners gas station at the Whalen Road intersection.
Deputies conducted a DWI investigation and found Gantz to be operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was transported back to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a breath test.
Deputies say he was additionally charged with aggravated DWI, aggravated AUO, and illegal signal.
He was released to a sober third-party and will answer the charges in East Bloomfield Town Court.
