Eastview Mall will be open normal hours on Sunday after sporadic, weather-related power outages caused headache for holiday shoppers trying to kick off the 2018 season.
“Windy weather has caused some power outages at some stores at Eastview Mall & Eastview commons,” Eastview Mall said in a statement on Twitter. The mall remained open for a couple more hours, before closing at 6 p.m.
Lord & Taylor, as well as Von Maur remained open throughout the outage, because they had enough lighting and adequate parking. Similarly, a few stores in the Eastview Commons remained open, too.
RG&E restored power during the early-evening hours.
UPDATE: RG&E has restored power to the mall however many stores will remain closed for the evening. Macy's, Lord & Taylor, L.L. Bean and Von Maur are ALL OPEN. Please call ahead for restaurants, any in-mall stores you may want to visit, as well as stores in Eastview Commons. #ROC
