It’s going to be a wild weather weekend here in the Finger Lakes.
Widespread rain and snow will be expected today. Forecasters say there should be a period of wet snow during the afternoon, but on either side of that rain will be the precipitation type.
Don’t expect any widespread accumulation.
Strong winds on Saturday, along with scattered snow showers; and continually cold temperatures — will make it feel like winter. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for parts of Western New York; and even areas along the Eastern Shores of Lake Ontario.
That lake effect snow, which will be localized – will continue on-and-off through Sunday.
Temperatures will struggle to hit 40 degrees throughout the weekend; and for at least two of them – it likely will not.
Daily Almanac
Snow & rain throughout day.
