Police say a 21-year-old Canandaigua resident was arrested on DWI charges after a traffic stop on Elm Street in Penn Yan.
Ethan D. Marchitell, 21, was charged with DWI, DWI common law, refusal to take a breath test, and inadequate headlights following the traffic stop where he failed field sobriety tests.
Marchitell was taken to the Yates County Jail where he submitted to a breath test and released.
He was ticketed, and those charges will be answered at a later date.
