Brissett, newcomers lead Orange hoops in exhibition opener (full coverage)

Oshae Brissett’s 22-points led the Syracuse men’s basketball team to a 77-45 victory over the College of St. Rose in Thursday night’s exhibition game at the Carrier Dome. A pair of newcomers, Elijah Hughes and Buddy Boeheim, contributed heavily with 19 points each. The trio each notched three three-pointers while Brissett led both teams with 14 rebounds.

Paschal Chukwu contributed double-digit rebounds with 11 and added five points and three blocks. Preseason All-ACC selection Tyus Battle recorded seven points and six assists.
