Deputies say they investigated a suspicious condition at the Williamson High School this week.
As result, a Shortsville man was arrested on Wednesday, at noon after officers were called to investigate an unoccupied vehicle.
They say a vehicle parked and unoccupied had an open gun case in the back seat. After the school went into lockdown – school officials contacted law enforcement.
As result, 25-year-old Eric J. Scott, of Shortsville was charged with criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds. Investigation determined that he was visiting his girlfriend, who lives down the street from the school; and left his vehicle parked at the school.
He was arraigned on the charge and released.
Law enforcement reports that the Williamson school was not at risk.
