Forecasters with the National Weather Service say multiple counties in the Finger Lakes are going to be faced with the first freeze of the season tonight.
The weather service issued Freeze Warnings for most of the region, which means that temperatures below 32 degrees are highly-likely for the area.

The conditions will kill unprotected crops and other sensitive vegetation, effectively ending the growing season. Forecasters say wind chills could even dip into the teens or low-20s, too.
It will be a gusty, rainy day leading up to that overnight freeze. Temperatures will drop throughout the day, and into the evening – letting some of that rain transition into snow showers for parts.
