Deputies find dog unable to walk while serving eviction notice in Bristol; owner charged with animal cruelty after cancerous tumor found

The Ontario County Humane Society reports that a 57-year-old Honeoye man was charged with animal cruelty after it was determined that a black lab had an infected paw, and wasn’t being cared for properly.

Deputies were serving an eviction order at 5279 Gulick Road in Bristol when they noticed the female black lab, named Sadie, unable to walk on her front-right paw.

It was determined that the dog had a cancerous tumor on her paw, and was treated once the Humane Society took ownership of the dog.

Deputies arrested Kenneth Lotta, 57, of Honeoye with animal cruelty.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
