New York Governor Andrew is expected to attend a groundbreaking ceremony at the Tompkins Regional Airport in Ithaca Tuesday.
The groundbreaking is part of the airport’s $30 million expansion project.
Governor Cuomo announced the funding for the project in the spring.
The airport is expected to get multiple upgrades including 6 new gates.
Renovations also come as the airport gets set to become an international airport, offering international flights.
Tuesday’s groundbreaking is set to kick-off at 12 p.m.
