WEEKEND EVENTS: Family Fun to Sheer Terror in the Finger Lakes October 19th – 21st

Halloween is just around the corner and the Finger Lakes are in full swing with scary, fun and family friendly events scattered across the region! This weekend has a variety of events to enjoy beginning with  family fun all the way to sheer terror!


October 19th – 21st: Terror Field Haunted Attraction

Test your fear with a highly energetic, high intensity in your face haunt experience like no other in the Fingerlakes or NY for that matter. Terror Field is sure to give you the biggest scare this month. The Terror awaits you this coming weekend at 7 Columbia Street, Clyde, NY starting at 7 pm for only $12! October 20th: Fall Fest at Lincoln Hill Farms

Celebrate Fall with Ontario ARC! Ontario ARC’s very first FALL FEST is coming up on October 20th, 2018 at the beautiful Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua! Doors open 11 am – 3 pm. We are thrilled to be offering this family-friendly event!

Admission will be $10 per person at the door, children 12 and under are FREE!

This festive fall event will feature fun for the whole family including a pumpkin patch, bounce house, farm animal petting area, lawn games, and live music by The Endless Mountain Derelicts at no cost!


October 20th: Great Pumpkin Walk

Take a walk in the moonlight as hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins twinkle in the dark at the Ontario County Fairgrounds in Canandaigua from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. This will be a truly magical evening along the Ontario Pathways trail! The round-trip walking distance is about 1 mile with a stop for refreshments. The walk is suitable for all ages, and strollers are allowed. Please do not bring pets.

Admission $4.00 per person includes refreshments. Children aged 2 and under free. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No Pets please.


October 20th: Cayuga Community Health Networks Murder Mystery Fundraiser

The Cayuga Community Health Network will host a Murder Mystery Fundraiser Dinner at 6 pm Saturday, October 20th, at The Point at Sand Beach, 2924 Sand Beach Road, Auburn.

Admission includes a three-course meal and a mystery to solve. There will also be a silent auction and a cash bar.

October 20th: 6th Annual Hildreth Hill Pumpkin Roll

This family friendly event is sure to bring out the fall spirit in anyone who attends on Brook Street Park in Geneva starting at 1 pm to 3 pm. This event will be filled with kids games and prizes, refreshments, baked goods and beverages, a bake sale, face painting and music! Copies of the History of Hildreth Hill Booklet will be available for cost at $2. Donations to the Hildreth Hill Neighborhood Association are greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of the event.


October 20th: Happy Owl-Ween hosted by Montezuma Audubon Center

We are happy to welcome back Jean Soprano, of Kindred Kingdoms Wildlife Rehabilitation, who will have live owls on display during her presentation about the silent hunters of the night. Then, join our staff for a hike through the forest and grassland to explore the night sights and sounds. Time: 6 pm to 8 pm. Fee: $5/child, $10/adult, $25/family. October 21st: Fall Turkey Shoot

Come test your shooting skills with trap, slug and pond games and try to win a turkey! Event starts at 10 am and will have food, games raffles and prizes throughout the day! The event takes place at the Falcon Sportsmen Club.


October 21st: Oktoberfest at the Granger Homestead

The Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum presents…Oktoberfest!

The event begins at 295 N. Main Street in Canandaigua from 2 pm and goes until 6 pm. Admission is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

Price/admission includes:

Beer tastings with complimentary tasting stein, Bavarian-inspired food, Live music and dancing with the Enzian Bavarian Band and Dancers.
