Joe Girard III, a 6-foot-2 guard from Glens Falls, N.Y., has committed to Syracuse University.
Girard made the announcement during a press conference at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls on Sunday night.
Girard, who averaged 50 point per game last season, picked Syracuse from a final list of six schools that included Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State. He is already NYSPHSAA’s all-time leading scorer heading into his senior season.
