The Rochester Americans begin their American Hockey League season on Friday with a home game against Charlotte, and there are some player with a lot to prove.
For many of the guys on the roster, such as the younger prospect players, they are hoping they can come out to the AHL with a hot and fast start so they can catch the eyes of the Sabres and earn an early season call-up to the NHL.
