Get ready for an active weather day.
High temperatures will approach 90 degrees, but the wind will blow throughout the day – stirring up some significant weather as a strong cold front approaches the area.
Forecasters say modeling shows that a squall line will develop at, or ahead of the cold front, prompting thunderstorms – with potentially damaging winds.
It should move through the region between 6 and 9 pm. They will be quick moving, but will pack a punch.

The typical precautions of picking up any loose yard or deck items will be necessary.
Behind the cold front – temperatures will plummet with daytime highs struggling to get out of the 50s on Saturday.
Things will moderate a bit on Sunday, as temperatures push into the upper-60s.
