One person was transported to an area hospital after a single-vehicle accident Wednesday night in Genoa, according to first responders.
The accident came in around midnight and resulted in Genoa, King Ferry Rescue and Southern Cayuga Ambulance being called to the scene at 9548 Route 90.
The vehicle was heavily damaged, and one person was trapped inside – as crews worked for 20 minutes to remove the patient.
That individual was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Life Net was initially placed on standby, but ultimately instructed to stand down after Southern Cayuga transported the patient.
The accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
