Photos from the scene of a violent accident in Ontario County were sent in to the FingerLakes1.com Newsroom on Thursday afternoon.
The photos, originally shared to Facebook by family of one of the victim’s in the accident – show a pickup truck, as well as a small passenger car with serious damage from the collision, which happened on County Road 23.
While details of the incident remain unclear – neighbors tell us that Mercy Flight landed at the scene as crews worked to remove a patient.
According to a family member’s posting on Facebook – one patient involved in the accident suffered a dislocated hip; and remains hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available. Ontario County Undersheriff David Tillman reports that the investigation is being handled by New York State Police.
