Syracuse’s Frank Howard suffers lower left leg injury

Howard’s injury will sideline him momentarily, but Boeheim said that he’ll be back before the Orange’s opener on Nov. 6 against Eastern Washington. That is 53 days from now.

Last season, Howard started every game for Syracuse despite appearing to deal with a left hand issue through the February portion of the season, wearing a wrap on it. During his sophomore season, he tore four core muscles and played through it.
