Multiple departments were called to a multi-barn fire in Locke on Thursday.
The call came in to first responders around 3:30 pm and prompted a response from Locke, Moravia, Scipio, Aurora, Groton, Lansing, Cortlandville, McLean, Genoa, Sempronius, Long Hill, and Poplar Ridge fire departments. Owasco RIT and Four Town Ambulance also responded to the scene, which was located on Bird Cemetery Road.
Altogether five barns were involved, and the siding of one home was melted as crews battled the large fire.
Investigation into the fire remains active.
