A Cayuga County Legislature committee Tuesday tentatively approved the date for a public hearing on the possible creation of a Director of Public Works position that would lead many of the county's current departments.
The Legislature's Public Works Committee approved a public hearing at 10 a.m. Oct. 23 at the County Office Building for a local law that, if approved, would create a new Department of Public Works and a director position for said department.
