Police: Canandaigua man sold stolen rifles to undercover officer

Police say a 25-year-old Canandaigua man was arrested after being found in possession of multiple stolen firearms.

Tyler A. Deal, 25, of Canandaigua is accused of possessing three stolen rifles, and selling them to an undercover police officer with the Canandaigua Police Department.

The arrest is the result of a co-investigation between the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and Canandaigua Police Department.



As result of the arrest – Deal was charged with three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was held at the Ontario County Jail without bail, and additional charges are pending, according to police.
