Police say a 59-year-old Penn Yan woman was arrested on felony charges after an investigation sparked by a report of a reckless driver.
The Penn Yan Police Department arrested 59-year-old Kimberly R. Margeson, of Penn Yan following a civilian complaint of a reckless driver on East Main Street. The incident took place on August 29th, according to police, who say that investigation determined that Margeson was unable to maintain her lane and exited the roadway – striking a pole.
She was found to be operating the vehicle in an impaired condition while under the influence of prescription narcotics.
As result she was arrested for felony driving while ability impaired by drugs, due to a previous conviction in the last 10 years.
She was released and will answer the charges at a later date.
