A Seneca County man who went to prison for leaving the scene of a fatal crash in 2012 is headed to the county jail — this time for crashing into a barn and leaving the scene.
John S. Smith, 58, of Junius, was sentenced recently to 30 days of weekends in jail after pleading guilty to third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and a traffic violation. In addition, he will have to pay more than $700 in fines and surcharges.
