On Friday at 11:35 pm police arrested a Seneca Falls man on charges stemming from a 2014 incident.
Michael J. Greco, 26, of Seneca Falls was arrested pending an investigation of that incident in local court.
Police say while being sentenced on another matter, Greco ran out of the courthouse to avoid being sent to prison. He was captured by police and sent to a New York State Correctional Facility.
An arrest warrant was issued for charges of escape in the third degree and obstructing governmental administration, both misdemeanors.
After serving time in the prison, Greco was released.
While investigating another matter, police came into contact with Greco, and discovered the open warrant. He was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Greco will be due back in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date to answer for the charges.
