The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 61-year-old Burdett resident after a DWI accident, in which a light pole was snapped in half at the del Lago Resort & Casino.

Sunye D. Koniz, 61, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, DWI, and for having a BAC of more than 0.08 percent after the incident, which occurred on August 21st around 10:45 pm.

Deputies say they were informed that the vehicle involved in the initial crash had crashed into a ditch at the intersection of County House and Bauer Road in the Town of Fayette.
