Police: Walmart larceny suspect runs, later caught near supercenter

On Saturday at 9:46 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a local resident after a larceny and foot pursuit that started at Walmart.

Jason B. Osgood, 47, of Seneca Falls was arrested following a larceny at the Wal-Mart Super Center.

Police say he was observed passing all points of sale without any attempt at rendering payment. Osgood then ran from the store when confronted.

Police located Osgood on an adjoining property. However, he then led police on a short foot pursuit and was later caught when he was located hiding in a hedgerow.

Osgood was charged with one count of petit larceny and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, both misdemeanors.

He will be held in the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
