Both teams let a lead slip away, but the State College Spikes emerged with an 11-10 victory over Auburn Doubledays at Lubrano Park Friday night.
Auburn got the game going with a seven spot in the first inning.
Cody Daily started it off with an RBI double, Jacob Rhinesmith brought in a run with a fielder’s choice, Kyle Marinconz drove in two with a single, Pablo O’Connor scored on an error, Marinconz came home on a wild pitch and Israel Pineda capped the scoring with a bases loaded walk.
State College got on the board with a run in the fourth. The Spikes then had back-to-back four-run frames in the fifth and sixth to take the lead.
