The Seneca County Suicide Prevention Coalition released the following statement after the devastating flooding, which took place last week in parts of Lodi, Interlaken, and Covert. The Coalition also released a series of resources, which are available below the statement.
“We commend the hard-working local, state, and federal responders who continue to help Seneca County after last week’s devastating flood. While the flood left parts of South Seneca unrecognizable – especially in Lodi, Ovid, Covert, Interlaken, and lakeshore neighborhoods within those communities – we know each will respond with resilience. The Seneca County Suicide Prevention Coalition is here for the community. We understand that being faced with a life-threatening situation is overwhelming. We also understand that those feelings did not, and will not all recede with the flood waters. The community is with those who were impacted by the devastating flood. We will continue to rally, support, and stand with those as they rebuild, and come back stronger than ever.”
