The Town Board voted 4-0 Wednesday to authorize just over $3 million in serial bonds for upgrades to the town sanitary sewer system.
Supervisor Greg Lazzaro and board members Lou Ferrara Jr., David DeLelys and Vic Porretta voted yes. Board member Doug Avery was absent.
The vote followed a public hearing at which four people commented.
Allison Stokes and Brad Jones spoke against the bonding proposal. Matt Blair spoke in favor of it, and Tim Geraghty asked for more information, which he received.
The bonding will be for 30 years. The town has received a no-interest state loan and a $750,000 state grant toward the project. That will save the town an estimated 40 percent.
