Deputies say that on Thursday around 5:30 pm they were called to a two-car accident at the intersection of County Road 23 and Lester Road in Phelps.
They say 33-year-old Aaron Sprague, of Prattsburgh was traveling north on Lester Road when he failed to stop and yield the right of way to a vehicle being operated by Caitlin Clinton, 30, of Shortsville.
Deputies say the two vehicles collided, and as result – multiple first responders – including those from Phelps and Oaks Corners were called to the scene.
Sprague complained of knee and face pain and was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital. Clinton suffered ankle and hand injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Both were wearing seat belts, but deputies say Sprague was issued traffic tickets for failing to yield the right of way.
