Deputies: Ontario man charged with DWI after fleeing domestic incident

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Ontario man for DWI on Wednesday following an investigation into a family trouble and subsequent vehicle and traffic stop.

Steven A. Kerr, 30, was stopped while Deputies were investigating a report of a domestic disturbance having observed Kerr operating a vehicle matching the description of the one that had fled the scene in the Town of Ontario.

Deputies determined Kerr’s identity upon initial contact and confirmed he was the suspect in the reported family trouble.

At the conclusion of the subsequent vehicle and traffic stop investigation Kerr was found to have been under the influence of alcohol while operating his vehicle on Furnace Road.

A breath test indicated that Kerr was operating his vehicle with a 0.16 percent BAC.

Kerr was charged with DWI and was released following processing at the Wayne County Jail and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ontario court at a later date and time to answer to the charges.
