Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Auburn

On Wednesday around 12:09 pm a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the city of Auburn, according to police.

The Auburn Police Department reported to local media that an elderly gentleman was headed north on Perrine Street and walking in the crosswalk when he was hit by a silver four-door Nissan sedan.

That vehicle was attempting to make a left-hand turn.



The driver didn’t see the man, but he was traveling at a low rate of speed.

The victim was transported to the hospital via AMR ambulance, but the extent of the injuries suffered during the accident were not clear.

Auburn Fire Department Assistant Chief William DeFabio said they are not life threatening.
