Police are investigating a reported forcible touching that occurred Friday night on the 100 block of Dryden Road in Ithaca. Police are asking the public if they have any information that could help the investigation.
According to Cornell University Police, two women reported that at about 9:15 p.m. Friday, a man approached them on the sidewalk south of the Dryden Road parking garage and groped both of them from behind. Police say when the women turned to confront the men, he began to apologize.
The man may have been accompanied by a woman, who was seen standing in front of Sangam Indian Cuisine and yelled, "I'm sorry, it was a dare." Police say the man then walked to the woman by Sangam and they both picked up two large, transparent trash bags and walked west on Williams Street, Cornell police said.
