There’s a new spot opening up in Auburn where you can go back in time and play old school video games, but it’s more than just technology.
The “Hideout” in Auburn, located at 157 State Street, will open its doors Wednesday.
It’s a place designed to give kids a safe place to play.
Whether your mind is set on Pac Man, or maybe the newer game systems the “Hideout” will be the newest spot to do exactly that.
Daryl King is the man behind the high tech place, growing up, he loved to play video games with friends
He moved from New York City 15 years ago and found out there wasn’t enough for kids to do here.
So with help from his partner — Lakisha Vest — with his 13-year-old son in mind — he decided to create an arcade.
“My goal is to lighten the town up just a little bit,” King said. “I want this to be a safe haven for kids and for the adults too.”
But it’s more than just getting lost in the screen.
