Troopers: Auburn trio arrested after stabbing on Division St.

State Police say three people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing, which happened on Emily Drive in Aurelius Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers responded to a reported stabbing and learned that the incident had actually taken place on Division Street in the Town of Throop.

Police say Jorge L. Sanchez, of Auburn is accused of stabbing his brother, 23-year-old Alex A. Baez. Both are Auburn residents, according to police. Baez was stabbed in the stomach with a knife, and treated at Auburn Community Hospital.

Police say that Baez was also arrested. He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.



Meanwhile, Sanchez was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

The third arrest was Louise A. Partin, 23, an Auburn resident, who police say gave a false written statement following the initial investigation.

Baez and Sanchez were arraigned in Throop town court. Sanchez was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Baez was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.

Partin was issued an appearance ticket. She will answer the charge at a later date. The state police were assisted by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Department and Cayuga County Child Protective Services.
