Seneca Falls man charged after domestic incident

Police say a Seneca Falls man was arrested on multiple charges on Tuesday after a domestic incident that happened on Saturday.

The Seneca Falls Police Department says that at 5:27 pm the officers arrested Anthony R. Venturino, 36, of Seneca Falls following a domestic incident and investigation.

Police received the call on Monday and during the investigation it was discovered that Venturino engaged in a physical domestic altercation where he choked a victim and subjected her to other unwanted physical contact, all while in the presence of a child.

He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment in the second degree.

In addition, Venturino also had an active warrant for an unrelated matter of petit larceny where he failed to appear after he was arrested earlier and released on an appearance ticket.

He was arraigned in the Town of Tyre Court on both matters. The Town of Tyre Court released Venturino on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on August 6th at 5:30 pm.

An order of protection was also issued for the victim.
