Some historic changes are in place ahead of the 2019 performance of the Hill Cumorah Pageant.
For the first time in 14 years, the show has a new artistic director, and for the first time in its 81 year history that director is a woman, Shawnda Moss
The 2018 show wraps up tonight.
Moss' predecessor served 21 years of service to the pageant.
This experience isn't unfamiliar for moss as she worked as an associate director for the event for 6 years.
"It is an environment that is set up in such a way that everyone that has come has sacrificed to be here. They have chosen and want to be here. And we all have one unified goal, to portray this story of the book of Mormon on our stages," explained Moss.
The Hill Cumorah Pageant is staged annually in Manchester by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
