A general objection has been filed to the Green Party nominating petition of David Ettman and to the Independence Party petition of Barry Porsch, both candidates for Seneca County judge.
The objections were filed by Ailene Phillips of Seneca Falls with the Seneca County Board of Elections Monday.
If Phillips follows up with specific objections to the petitions by July 23, the two-member county Board of Elections will examine the specifics and make a determination on the validity of the two petitions.
Porsch, currently the district attorney, filed petitions to run on seven party lines: Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Independence, Working Families, Women’s Equality and Green.
Ettman, a former Varick town justice, filed petitions to run on five party lines: Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Independence, Working Families and Green.
Also filing petitions to run for judge was former DA Donna Cathy. She filed Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform party petitions.
