A fatal one-vehicle accident that happened in the Town of Walworth around 5:04 pm on Tuesday is under investigation, according to deputies.
Cynthia L. Scheltz, 45, of Ontario was traveling north on Tiffany Road when her vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment and went airborne – before landing on its roof.
Deputies say Scheltz was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner.
She was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the collision, according to deputies, who say that an investigation is underway.
Walworth Ambulance, Wayne County Advanced Life Support and Lincoln Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene.
