Deputies say a Geneva man was cited after falling asleep at the wheel – resulting in his vehicle to collide with a home located at 5839 Ridge Road in Sodus.
Trevon J. Whitfield, 24, of Geneva was traveling east on Ridge Road when he fell asleep, crossed over the center line, went off the north side of the roadway – striking a home around 6:55 am on Tuesday.
The home was damaged as result of the accident, according to deputies. But, extent of that damage was not clarified.
Whitfield was not injured, but ticketed for failing to keep right.
Deputies say they were assisted by the Sodus Fire Department, Sodus EMS and Wayne County ALS.
