Deputies say a 27-year-old Newark man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after a motorcycle accident on State Route 14 in the Town of Phelps on Saturday.
The accident happened around 7:13 pm when Gregory G. Wild, 27, of Newark was making a turn on Route 14 near the 7-11 gas station, and lost control of the bike on loose gravel.
The motorcycle went down on the right side and slid a short distance.
Deputies say Wild suffered head, shoulder and hand injuries and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by Life Net for treatment.
Wild was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to first responders.
