The Auburn Police Department has clarified the circumstances that led to two individuals being hospitalized with stab wounds.
On Wednesday at 3:53 am investigators were dispatched to 208 Genesee Street for a stabbing. The victim was identified as Shaquille Manners, who was located at that residence and then transported to Upstate Hospital with injuries to his chest and arm.
Approximately 24 minutes later, patrol was dispatched to a second stabbing at 48 Chapman Avenue. The victim, identified as Brandon McLaurin was located at that residence – and was also transported to Upstate Hospital.
He suffered back, shoulder, and arm injuries from the stabbing.
Police say both are being uncooperative at this time. The investigation unfolding as two separate matters. Manners remains hospitalized in stable condition, while McLaurin was treated and released.
