Dave Marcuccilli took the lead on lap 66 and held on to win his third Sportsman Classic trophy at Weedsport Speedway Tuesday.
Although he won his heat race, Marcuccili started from the eighth position after the re-draw, but worked his way up to the front. Despite touching the outside wall twice trying to find room to pass, Marcuccili finally passed Connor Cleveland in lapped traffic on lap 66 and wasn’t challenged over the final nine laps.
