Felony DWI charge for Rochester driver in Fayette

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday at approximately 7:22 pm a 39-year-old Rochester woman was arrested for felony DWI after a traffic stop in Seneca County.

Barbara Gonzalez, 39, was charged with felony DWI due to a conviction in the last ten years, as well as aggravated DWI for having a BAC higher than .18 percent. She was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, and issued a number of other traffic citations.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop where it was discovered that Gonzalez was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and having a revoked driver’s license in New York State.

Gonzalez was arraigned in the town of Covert Court and committed to the Seneca County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.

She is to appear in the Town of Fayette Court at a later date to answer the charges.
