Controversial water rate increases for customers of Seneca County Water District No. 1 could be voted on by the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
The proposed rate increases for in-district customers are:
• The water charge would go from $6.98 to $7.75 per 1,000 gallons of water per quarter.
• The operations and maintenance fee would remain at $53 per quarter per unit.
• The minimum bill for 8,000 gallons used per quarter would go from $55.84 to $62.
• The minimum water bill per quarter would go from $108.84 to $115.
For out-of-district customers, the water charge would go from $6.30 to $7.05 per 1,000 gallons per quarter.
